Ed Perl was involved in his family’s business from the 1950s until 1987, when he left to work with other restaurant equipment businesses. In 2002 he acquired Maxwell Restaurant Equipment, turning it into his own family business by bringing his son, Matt Perl, on board.

Ed Perl, proprietor, has over 40 years of experience buying and selling quality kitchen equipment, as well as consulting and designing new and renovated kitchens. Ed started out working in his family’s restaurant equipment store, the New London Store Fixture Co., in the 1950s. Ever since, he has been working with clients throughout the foodservice industry providing functional and practical kitchen and facility designs and equipment.

Matt Perl got his start in the restaurant equipment business when he started attending trade shows with his father, Ed Perl, as a teenager. He has been involved in the company ever since in a growing capacity.
